Football matches abandoned due to rains

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 27: Both the scheduled matches in the ongoing Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football Tournament could not take place due to water logging in the GGM Science College ground because of overnight rains.
Now, one of the matches, scheduled for today, shall be played tomorrow while other has been shifted for a later date by the organizers, All J&K Indira Gandhi People’s Association.
“Due to wet ground, we could not hold today’s scheduled matches. Now, one pre-quarterfinal between J&K Forest and Vijay Club shall be played tomorrow at 3.30 pm soon after the quarterfinal between J&K Police and Churchill Brothers at 2 pm,” president of the Association, Narinder Gupta told
