GDC Paloura Sangharsh Samiti protest against BJP’s ignorance | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 27: Govt Degree College Paloura Sangharsh Samiti, Block Bhalwal has strongly condemned the statement of Bhartiya Janta Party MLA from Raipur-Domana Assembly constituency Bharat Bhushan alias Bodhi, who has stated that Degree College was shifted to Jhiri as land was not available in Block Bhalwal for construction of the same. The members of Sangharsh Samiti expressed serious concern over the ignorance of BJP MLA, who has remained a turn coat through out his political career, and has never visited fully his assembly constituency neither taken care of the aspirations of the people of the area. Sangharsh Samiti further clarified that it was not non-availability of land but political vested interest of both BJP MLAs from Marh and Raipur Domana who are residing in close vicinity of Village Jhiri. They alleged that it is not the development of Jhiri area which forced then to appease their masters in ruling alliance but their political and personal vested interest which led to the shifting of College from Block Bhalwal to Block Marh against the wishes of more than 5 lakh population in Block Bhalwal. The Sangharsh Samiti members further informed that a large chunk of government land is readily available in and around mini-secretariat and Govt Hr. See School, Bhalwal which comes around to be around 100 kanals. Sangharsh Samiti warned the MLA Raipur-Domana to retract from his alleged statement of non-availability of land in Block Bhalwal and support to the idea of shifting Degree College from Block Bhalwal to Jhiri in the District Development Board meeting within 48 hours failing which heavy protest demonstration would be staged against him. The Sangharsh Samiti further pledged that people of the area would not rest till the College construction is started within Block Bhalwal.
