EARLY TIMES REPORT
srinagar,Feb 27 : Sachin Tendulkar's fine century in the World Cup match against England on Sunday has left Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, an ardent fan of the champion batsman, delighted.
"If there is a better sight on a cricket pitch than Tendulkar in full flow, I haven't seen it yet," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter soon after the batsman scored his 47th ODI century at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium. Omar took the opportunity to hit out at newspapers, which had drawn curtains on Tendulkar's career when he hit a rough patch a few years ago. "And yet I can't help but remember all those ENDulkar headlines in the newspapers when he hit a bad patch a few years ago. Way to go Sachin," Omar wrote.
