Jammu, Feb 28: The outreach radio Studio set up in the Post Graduate Department of Home –Science (CRM&E), as a part of its social outreach programme, was inaugurated by Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Tanveer Jahan Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education, Dr. Shamlal Gupta, Director Colleges Higher Education, Muqbil Chishti OSD Higher Education. This Radio Studio is first of its kind in J&K.
The community radio station, seeks to reach out to Jammu’s masses on issues concerning health, environment, development, scientific awareness, women and children, social issues and in turn to inform and educate, while entertaining the public.
The skill development in this area will help the students to enhance their personality and job opportunities in various fields like Radio Jockey, Anchor, Commentator, interviewing etc
