Council-2011 | LC moves obituary reference, tributes paid to Arman | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council today paid rich tributes to ex-legislator Ghulam Hassan Arman. Moving obituary reference, Deputy Chairman Arvinder Singh Micky while expressing profound sorrow on the sad demise of Arman said that words are inadequate to convey deep sense of loss which the Legislative Council feels at his passing away. He said that House pays homage ex-legislator and great personality and prays to God that his soul may rest in peace. Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R.S.Chib described him great personality who devoted his life for welfare of people of the state particularly far-off areas. He said that late Arman was also remembered for his struggle for setting up of Degree College at Kishtwar besides implementation of the Wazir Commission. M. Y. Taing while paying rich tributes to the late leader said that his contribution in political arena is a torch bearer for new generation of political leaders. Abdul Gani Vakil while paying tributes to late Arman termed him a simple and sincere leader of the State and suggested to memorize his name by christening mega project on his name. The others who also spoke on the obituary reference are Naresh Kumar Gupta, Bashir Ahmad Magray, Syed Agar Ali, Ajay Sadhotra, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Amrit Malhotra, Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, Khalid Najeeb Suherwardy, Jehangir Hussain Mir, Ali Mohammad Bhat, Ravinder Sharma, Rafiq Ahmad Shah, Subash Chander Gupta, Aga Syed Ahmad, Javid Ahmad Rana and Ajat Shatru Singh.
