NSF seeks inquiry against illegal detention | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 28: Continuing protest against alleged authoritative rule of police inside Jammu University campus, students and scholars today intensified demand for initiating inquiry into the alleged illegal detention of NSF and JURSEA leaders. Students and scholars of the different departments also boycotted their classes and joined the protest rally. They raised slogans against J&K Police and University authorities. Meanwhile students of the different colleges including MAM College boycotted their classes and sought inquiry into the incident. Protesting scholars and students led by Surjit Choudhary, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Choudhary and Sukdev Singh assembled in the front of fountain under the banner of National Secular Forum and protested. They said that university has so far remained a mute spectator and nothing has been done for the welfare of the students. He said that this will not be tolerated and NSF will launch agitation against all these issues on the arrival of Prime Minister in Jammu. They said that NSF appeals to the Governor and Chief Minister to hold enquiry. They warned that they would continue their protests till the Chief Minister of state does not initiate action against culprit. Among those who were present in the protest included Sunny Babber , Rahul Sharma, Belveer Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Shafqat Malik, Qayoom Malik, Layaqat Ali Khan, Narinder Singh, Ankit, Vicky, Sri Ram, Manu, Sandeep Singh and others.
