CAPD squad conducts market checking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 28: In continuing the drive, in view of forthcoming festival Shivratri, teams of Enforcement officers headed by Assistant Directors, Enforcement wing conducted vigorous market checking of fruits and vegetables especially Nadroo sellers/Mutton and Chicken/Eggs across Jammu city. According to a handout issued here today, it has been stated that the CAPD squad conducted checkings at Satwari, Janipur, Muthi Migrant Camp area, Purkhoo Migrant Camp area, Nagrota, Subash Nagar, Sarwal, New Plot area and Mira Sahib and challaned 19 defaulters under the violation of price display order and essential commodities act 1955 and fine of Rs. 7500 was recovered from the defaulters on spot here today. In view of the increase in the wholesale prices of Chicken and as discussed with the Joint Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Jammu, the sale rate of chicken (Broiler Live) is refixed at Rs. 87 per kg. The above rates shall remain in force until further orders.
