Refugees seek redressal of demands

JAMMU, Feb 28: In order to protest against discrimination meted out to refugees living in various parts of the Jammu and Kashmir state, displaced due to armed aggression of Pakistan since 1947, refugees held peaceful rallies across at Jammu province today.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that the protests were led by members of executive committee of PoK displaced persons-1947, 1965, 1971 from Chhamb, Deva, Watala, mirpur, Bhimber, Manawar, Nah, Kotli, Palandari, Bagh, Poonch and Muzaffarabad at all the district, tehsil and block levels in Jammu province.
They alleged that no compensation has been given to those who were killed during the wars. They further said that working group has also recommended implementation of Wadhwa Committee Report.
