| Saroori conducts extensive tour of Inderwal constituency | | | Kishtwar, November 12 Chairman J&K State Social Welfare Board and MLA Inderwal Mr.G. M. Saroori today conducted extensive tour of Inderwal Constituency. During the tour he inaugurated newly upgraded Hr. Secondary School at Malanoo. A large number of students, prominent persons, political leaders and people of the area attended the function. Addressing the gathering Mr. Saroori said that the government is committed to improve the educational infrastructure in the state and stressed upon the teaching community to work with dedication and impart quality education to the students to enable them to face the future challenges of life. Mr. Saroori also visited Ganitul-Allom Educational Trust at Jakhyas and inaugurated an awareness generation programme about benefits of the schemes meant for welfare of women and children. Mr. Saroroi appreciated the efforts of the institution for providing quality and moral education to the students of the area. Mr. Saroori sanctioned Rs. one lakh out of his CDF fund for infrastructural development of the institution. Mr. Saroori also visited some EGS Centres and reviewed their functioning. He also took stock of various ongoing developmental works in the area and stressed upon the executing agencies to speed up the work on Bhatyas-Jakhyas Road. Mr. Saroori also visited various remote areas of Elaqa Sarthal, the other day and took stock of work on Bhagran-Sarthal Road, taken up under National Employment Guarantee Scheme on which an amount of Rs.35 lakh is estimated to be spent. He also announced Rs. One lakh out of STP Plan for development of scheduled caste and schedule tribe population living in the area. During the tour, Mr. Saroori addressed series of public meetings in the area and met cross section of people. He highlighted the policies and programme launched by the government and assured the people that every possible effort would be taken to redress their genuine demands on priority basis.with more dedication to complete the ambitious projects in a stipulated time frame. Minister who is on a two day visit to Bhasoli Tehsil was addressing workers of Sewa Hydel project here. He said present Government, under the dynamic leadership of Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad is committed to ensure uniform development of all areas of the state. He said a massive development programme has been initiated including construction of roads and development of social infrastructure in rural areas. He two villages in each block are being developed as model villages with all modern facilities including safe drinking water and education facilities. The workers presented various demands to the minister which among other things include, payment of productivity linked allowance, medical facility, regulation of promotions and transfers and convenience allowance. Minister assured them that there demands would be taken up with the NHPC authorities. Earlier, Minister visited Bhasoli, Mahanpur, Thein and Noora, where people accorded him a rousing welcome. Minister inspected pace of on going work during his visit to these areas and issued necessary instructions. He directed the executing agencies for completion of all works in the stipulated time frame. |
