Childline help comes to rescue of lost child | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Mar 1: Jammu Childine has done a commendable job in restoring a lost child to his parents. On Feb 24 , a call was received from CHILDLINE Kolkata where it informed that a female child name Sonu (changed) was found with the organization. It was further informed that child belonged to J&K state, Jammu. The help from Childline Jammu was sought for locating the family of the child at the address provided by the child. Immediately the child team swung in to action and went to the area as per the address provided by the child. Shopkeepers, local and Childline contact persons were contacted but the family of the child was not located. Police contact room was also informed and help in locating the family of the child was sought. As a result of efforts made by Childline team and Police Control Room the family of the child was located. It was also came to be known that address provided by the child was incomplete and it was only with help of Childline contact persons and efforts made by police control room that family of the child at Jammu was located. Immediately after locating the family of the child information was passed on to Kolkatta Childline. After getting information Childline team Kolkatta, along with child came to Jammu. Finally the child was handed over to her guardian (grand mother) with the involvement of JWB member, Atul Gupta and SHO Police Station Peer Mitha Sajjad Khan
