NSF to call JU bandh on PM’s visit

Jammu, Mar1:National Secular Forum has called for two days bandh on Mar 3 &4
Addressing a press conference here today,National Secular Forum has said that six months have passed since the ongoing protest against various issues related to university, but so far nothing has been done to overcome with the issues related to the university.
Vikas Sharma President National Secular Forum said NSF has decided to lodge their protest against these on the arrival of the Prime Minister of the country during his visit to the Jammu City on 3 & 4th of March by observing complete bandh in the university.
He said that there will be total boycott of the classes by the students to show there resentment over the issues related to the university.
He said that the issues like demand of holding external audit in the financial bunglings in the Jammu University are still not given the priority by the administration.
He said that corruption in the administration is increasing day by day and there is no control over it. He said that out of turn promotion are given to the faculty members neglecting the UGC guidelines. He said lot of problems are being faced by the students coming from far flung areas as no hostel facility is being provided by the administration. He said that late results declared by the examinations wing always make the students suffer as they are not able to apply in other universities for higher studies. He said that Central University has not yet started its session in the summer capital of the state, he said that this is a matter of great concern as the session has already started in the winter capital of the state.
He said that the main aim of protest against the arrival of the PM in the Jammu,is to attract the attention of the youth towards him and the same youth is going to hold protest against his arrival by holding black batches.
Among those who were present in the Press Conference included, Sunny Babber , Belveer Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Shafqat Malik, Mohd. Qayoom Malik, Sri Ram, Manu, Surjit Choudhary and others.
