BJP leadership comes out in open support of agitating physiotherapists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 01: BJP leaders including its State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, State Chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh and BJYM State President Munish Sharma visited the GMC Hospital to inquire about the agitating physiotherapists admitted in the hospital today after serious injuring following lathi-charge and violent use of force by police on them. Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the party MLAs will take up the issue on urgent basis in the state assembly. He said the party will not allow the incident to go unnoticed and unpunished, and alleged that such use of force against peaceful protestors was unheard of. Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed surprise as to on whose orders the physiotherapists had been severely beaten up to an extent that many of them including female physiotherapists had suffered bone fractures and head injuries which are classified as grievous injuries in the medico-legal record. Munish Sharma gave the names of some of the seriously injured physiotherapists who included Sonavar Tak, Neha Bakshi, Jagat Singh, Victor, Parvez Chandel and Bimal Manhas. He said the BJYM has offered full support to them and will join in their agitation.
