CM visits Jagti Township, inspects completion of works | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 1: Satellite Township at Jagti for Kashmiri Migrants is presently receiving fine tuning for its expected inauguration by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during his visit to Jammu. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today visited Jagti near Nagrota and inspected various aspects of the completion of the project. He was accompanied with Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas and Secretary Revenue, Ajaz Iqbal. Chief Minister was accompanied by Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation, Vinod Koul and other senior officers were accompanying the Chief Minister. Jagti Township envisages construction of 4218 two room flats for Kashmiri Migrants besides many facilities in the form of hospitals, schools, community halls, parks, etc. Project envisages construction of 176 blocks in 6 zones to house 4218 flats. The Jagti Township is the part of the ambitious housing project under PMRP for Kashmiri Pandits for construction of 5242 two room housing units at a cost of Rs. 385 crores.
