| Jora hails PM for allocating Rs 100 cr for Ladakh region | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 1: Minister for Tourism Nawang Rigzin Jora has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for keeping a provision of Rs 100 crore in this year’s Union Budget-2011 for the implementation of various projects identified by Special Task Force for the development of Ladakh region.
He also thanked the Government of India for accepting the Rs 400 crore special package recommended by the special task force for Ladakh. The Minister hoped that the remaining Rs 300 crore would released in the next financial year. Minister also expressed his deepest gratitude to the Government of India for having constituted separate task forces for Ladakh and Jammu regions.
