| Survive or Succeed’ seminar held | | | Jammu, Nov 12 Narayana institute of Medical/Engineering Coaching in association with IKONS Institute Jammu today conducted Seminar on "Changing Scenario of Competitive Examinations Survive or Succeed" here today at Abhinav Theater. The Event also served as the platform for the prize distribution function of the recently concluded Inter School Competition held on 5th Nov.2006 by Narayana. Mohd Shafi Uri (Former education minister) was the chief guest for the occasion where as the function was presided over by MR Puri Ex-Vice Chancellor-University of Jammu and AK Kapoor Chairman Aadarsh Education Trust and winner of Bharat Jyoti Award 2006. Zia Siddiqui (General Manager Operations, NARAYANA), Mridula Ujjawal, Sr. Manager Admissions NARAYANA, Kunal Anand, Director Operations Jammu Centre and Vivek Sheel (Director Academics Jammu Centre) were the guest of honor. The function started with the formal welcome of the chief guest and other guest by the students of NARAYANA Jammu centre and lightning of the traditional ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. The function opened with Mridula Ujjawal introduced NARAYANA to the audiences and briefed them about various advantages of NARAYANA and how the institute is differently positioned in the country. The major part about the event was the Seminar on "Changing scenario of Competitive Examinations Survive or Succeed" which was conducted by Ashutosh Nath, who had specially flown in from Delhi. Ashutosh Nath briefed the students and their parent about the changing trends of competitive examinations like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, PMT's etc. He also talked about the difference in preparing about the board exams and competitive examination. Ashutosh Nath gave valuable tips to students as how to manage their time in preparing for competitive exams and gave tips on stress management. He also told the audience about the areas where the students of our state lack and how to over come these problems. Many doubts of the students and their parents were also addressed and satisfactorily answered by Ashutosh Nath this seminar will provide a new light to the students of J&K and a right perspective to them so that they can decide about the right career path and easy and more practical approach for the same. |
