Rs 16 crore bunglings in education department ,Marwah:BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU,Mar 2 :Making startling revelations BJP today alleged bung lings worth crores of rupees in education department going on in Marwah zone of Kishtwar district since 2008.This startling revelation was made by BJP leader from Marwah block Sunil sharma at a press conference here today. He alleged that there is a nexus between the education department ,the treasury employees and the politicians of ruling alliance. He alleged that out of 70 sanctioned posts of teachers in Marwah zone 12 posts are still vacant and the education department has been withdrawing salaries in their name since 2003 which amounts to Rs 32 lakh per year.The total amount withdrawn so fa is rs seven crore he added. He said the salary is being withdrawn on fake names while the posts are still vacant.Sharma said that a teachers one month salary is Rs 26000.Besides the department has also withdrawn huge amount as sixth pay arrears of employees while as a matter of fact these arrears were not paid to the employees and they have been agitating for the same. Moreover Sharma said that Rs 60 lakh have been withdrawn for construction of kitchen shed by the department under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) while no shed has been constructed by the department.Sharma said the scandal was unearthed after the transfer of the then CEO by his successor who wrote who wrote the Director school education Jammu for the same .Later the director constituted a three member departmental committee to probe and before its submission of the report the same was disbanded by the director for unknown reasons ,he added. He said the Director also summoned the records to his office pertaining to the scandal but the same were seized by vigilance organization and they n are probing the matter.Mr. Sharma said this way the state exchequer was duped of Rs 16 crore by the officers of the education department., treasury and some ruling alliance politicians who are backing the corrupt officers. Sharma said one of the officers possesses three palatial houses in the two capital cities of the state and Government has failed to initiate action against him
