| HC urges personal appearance of concerned | | Traffic regulation in Jammu | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 2 (JNF):- In a Public Interest Litigation regarding regulation of traffic in the city of Jammu, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla and Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir directed the Secretary Traffic Dept of State, IGP Traffic, Transport Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner JMC and Divisional Commissioner Jammu to remain present in the court on March 28, 2011 to submit their own point of view for making the stand before the court.
The petition was filed by All J&K All India Taxi-Sumo & Ors filed on December 23, 2004 which was treated as PIL on August 5, 2005 in the larger interest of the public of Jammu.
The Court after Advocate General M I Qadiri with AAG Gagan Basotra for the State whereas Advocate DC Raina appointed as Amicus-Curiae to assist Court in this Public Interest Litigation directed the concerned authorities to remain present in the Court on March 28, 2011. Division Bench also directed Registry to forward a copy of this order and copy of the points formulated to the above said authorities to submit their own points of view for making the stand before this court.
