| JCMS announces schedule for president election | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 2: The election to the post of president of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) will be held on April 3.
The nomination applications in English contained in a sealed envelope duly signed by the candidate, his proposer and seconder shall be received at the Office of the Election Commissioner at Mahajan Bhawan, Jammu by Puran Chand who has been appointed as Office Secretary of the Election Commission from 11 AM to 4 PM on all six working days of the week. The last date of receiving application is fixed as March 15.
All the scrutinized applications shall be placed before the Working Committee Meeting to be called by the President on March 18 at 7 pm.
All the members of the Working Committee shall first persuade the candidate for unanimous election of President without contest, failing which the election will be held on April 3 by secret ballot at Mahajan Bhawan, Jammu from 11 am to 3 pm.
The last date of withdrawal of nomination applications will be March 19.
