| Bank blanks Young Rovers to enter final | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 03: Formidable side of professionals Jammu and Kashmir Bank today blanked Young Rovers to make it to the final of Ist Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football Tournament underway at GGM Science College ground, here.
In the first semi-final, played today, J&K Bank registered an easy 7-0 win over young side of local club.
Zubair Ahmad scored first goal for J&K Bank in the 20th minute, followed by second coming through Bilal Ahmad in 39th.
Later, in the second half, star striker, Sheikh Rizwan struck twice netting the ball in the 50th and 52nd minute. Mohamad Hanief scored fifth goal in the 55th minute while Mohammad Yasin dodged the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute to bring in sixth goal for the team.
Three minutes later, Bilal Ahmed scored his second and team’s seventh goal thus making it a big 7-0 win for J&K Bank.
Today’s semi-final was officiated by Ketan Kumar, Muzaffar, Roony and Hilal.
