KP’s held meet to discuss the unemployment issue | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 3: The unemployed youths of the Kashmiri Migrants held an emergent meeting in Mishriwalla camp in which great concern was shown for the growing unemployment of the migrant youths. Speaking on the occasion the President of the Forum Subash Zutshi welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh but at the same time reminded that the Prime Minister had declared 6000 posts for migrants out of whom only 3000 were announced and just 1853 were given employment. The employment process is going on the snails pace with the result we afraid that it may take next one decade to full fill the promise of the Prime Minister. Even the state administration ignored that aspect and kept the riders of marks percentage and high qualifications even for the posts of Class IV. With the result the most deserving candidates who had just passed the matriculation and are residing in the camps from the last 20 years could not get any benefit. The forum appealed the Prime Minister to intervene in the matter so that those deserving youths could be accommodated in the employment package.
