| Tribal Forum condemns attack on junior engineer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 3: An association of Tribal employees of J&K today strongly condemned the attack on a Junior Engineer of R&B department in Mendhar, calling the incident as an unfortunate one.Roshan Din Choudhary, the State Chief of Forum in a press conference said that such types of repeated attacks on employees here by miscreants have created a sense of insecurity and fear among them which would also badly affect the dispensing of official duties transparently and fairly.Choudhary also said that this attack is not first of its kind but the Govt. officers are under threat from goons which need a serious attention of the concerned law enforcing agencies.Zabeer Ahmed Bajjar, State General Secretary of Forum while talking to media persons said that in spite of stone pelting and attack on police party by lathis by the accused and other hired goons, the role of Police in apprehending one of the prime accused responsible for the attack, is commendable.He also hoped that the rest of the accused would be arrested done soon.Bajjar further urged the Govt. for immediate cancellation of License of the Contractor who is master-mind behind this attack. Others present on the occasion were Shah Mohd., Tanwir Ahmed, Prof. Arif Sajad, Tanzir Khatana, Er. Khursheed Ul Islam and Advocate Pervaiz Choudhary.Meanwhile, the leaders of district Poonch body of Tribal United Forum (TUF) in an extra-ordinary meeting, presided by Jahangeer Ahmed, District President also condemned the beating of Forum member by some criminals and also demanded stern action against the culprits.Among other functionaries of the Forum present in the meeting were Prof. Mohd. Azam, Prof. Amil Hussain, Er.Manzoor Ahmed, Prof. Nizam Din, Er. Mohd. Ishfaq, Mohd. Khan, Abdul Majeed, Shakeel Ahmed, Mohd Yaseen and Rashid Ahmed.
