| Widow gangraped in Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 03 : A widow was gangraped by three youth in a factory at Batalwalian in Udhampur. In her complaint to police, the widow, who hailed from Ramnagar, said she came to Udhampur Sunday last in connection with some work.
However, when the work was over, she thought of going to her relative's house in the town.
Police sources said while she crossed Doodadhari temple, one Sanju, who knew her, stopped his car near her and gave her a lift. However, instead of dropping her at the relative's house, he took her in a factory at Batalwalian and locked her in a room.
In the room, she was allegedly gangraped by Sanju and his two friends. The accused freed her next morning.
She told police that the alleged rapists also snatched from her a mobile phone and Rs 1,200 in cash.
Police had registered a case in this connection. The accused were, however, yet to be arrested.
