| Police foiled the Chakka Jam of Tehreek-e-Insaf on PM’s visit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 4: Police foiled the Chakka Jamm announced by Tehreek-e-Insaf on the PM visit and detained some workers of the organization and were released later on. Tehreek-e-Insaf is an organization which is fighting for the rights of militancy affected people of Jammu region. The Chakka Jam protest call was given on the arrival of Prime Minister at Jammu in support of their long pending demands and the implementation of the rulings of Supreme Court to bring migrants and militancy victims of Jammu region at par with Kashmiri Migrants and other demands. Despite heavy rains, hundreds of workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf had decided to block the National Highway NH-1 near Amphalla but the policed administration imposed the 144 surrounding all the outskirts of Jammu. Earlier, while addressing the activists Chairman of Thereek-e-Insaf, Mohd.Farooq Mir warned the coalition government to desist from the “anti-militancy affected policies of Jam region and shun the path of confrontation” .The Leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf have decided to hold Assembly gehro on 21 of March 2011 against the discriminatory attitude of the government.
