| Jammu shuttlers find place in world ranking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 04: Top state shuttlers, Vikram Saini and Vipul Saini have entered in the men’s singles Badminton World Rankings issued recently by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
This is for the first time in the history of badminton in J&K that two shuttlers, present state champion, Vikram Saini and No. two, Vipul Saini have found place in the World Ranking.
The raking was outcome of participation by these badminton players in the international events held under the banner of Badminton World Federation at Chennai and Hyderabad last year.
Saini sibling participated in India Open Grand Prix Gold International Badminton Tournament held at Chennai in June last and India Open Grand Prix International Badminton Tournament at Hyderabad in December.
“Both these events were organized by Badminton Association of India (BAI) and duly sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF),” sharing the achievement, Vikram Saini told SAN.
