| JWAM demands special financial package for Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 4: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded from the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to announce a “special financial package” for Jammu region and make Jammu city “a model winter capital” as their is discrimination in allocation of funds by the state Govt for the development of province.
Addressing a press conference here today, president JWAM Sunil Dimple warned that JWAM will go ahead with a Jan Andolan for the fulfillment its demands.
Dimple also demanded that Prime Minister should hold a round table conference and all party meet to resolve the issue of Delimitation Commission. He urged the prime minister to prevail upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to implement the recommendations of Delimitation Commission.
He urged the Prime Minister to out rightly reject the proposals of self rule, autonomy, withdrawal of AFSPA, and the working group report of Justice Sageer Ahmad.
