CWC reconstituted with several new faces;

NEW DELHI, March 04 : Congress president Sonia Gandhi today reconstituted the Congress Working Committee with induction of several new faces like Sushila Triya, Shakeel Ahmed and Jagmeet Brar while dropping those like Keshav Rao, Satyavrat Chaturvedi, Manish Tiwari and Rajiv Shukla.
The revamped CWC was announced by party spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi.
Mr Motilal Vohra has been retained as treasurer while Mr Ahmed Patel remains the chief political secretary.
Also among the new entrants in the CWC is Mr Oscar Fernandes, who was a permanent invitee in the previous CWC.
The new CWC also includes several fresh faces which includes Ms Hema Prova Saikia, Ms Sushila Triya, Mr M V Rajashekharan, Mr Shakeel Ahmed, Mr Jagmeet Singh Brar, Mr Luizinho Faleiro and Mr Shivaji Rao Deshmukh.
Those dropped from the previous CWC include Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithvi Raj Chavan, Law Minister Veerappa Moily, Rajya Sabha members Satyavrat Chaturvedi and Keshav Rao and Mr Rajiv Shukla.
Mr Rahul Gandhi is in-charge of the Youth Congress while Home Minister P Chidambaram has been selected as permanent invitee to Congress Working Committee.
Mr Arjun Singh and Ms Mohsina Kidwai, who were members in the previous Congress Working Committee, have been made permanent invitees.
The 19 member CWC is headed by the Congress president with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and de-factor members includes Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister A K Antony, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, Mr Motilal Vora, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mr Digvijay Singh, Mr Janardhan Dwivedi, Mr Oscar Fernandes, Mr Mukul Wasnik, Mr B K Hariprasad, Mr Birendra Singh, Mr Dhani Ram Shandil, Mr Madhusudan Mistry, Mr Ahmed Patel, Ms Hemo Provo Saikia and Ms Sushila Triya.
The new CWC has 19 permanent invitees and five Special invitees.
The permanent invitees include Mr Arjun Singh, Ms Mohsina Kidwai, Home Minister P Chidambaram, MP Karan Singh, Mr M L Fotedar, Mr R K Dhawan, Mr S C Jamir, Mr Shivaji Rao Deshmukh, Mr Beni Prasad Verma, Mr M V Rajashekharan, Mr Ajit Jogi, Mr Shakeel Ahmed, Mr Jagdish Tytler, Mr jagmeet Singh Brar, Mr Luizinho Faleiro, Mr Mohan Prakash and Mr Gulchain Singh Charak.
The Special invitees include Mr G Sanjeeva Reddy, Mr Mohinder Singh Kaypee, Mr Anil Shahstri, Mr Nirmal Khatri and Mr Raj Babbar.
In the new CWC, Law Minister M Veerappa Moily has been relieved of his charge of Andhra Pradesh while Mr Digvijay Singh retains the charge of Uttar Pradesh and Assam besides publicity and publication. General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has been given chanrge of Youth Congress and the NSUI.Wings.
New entrant Mohan Prakash has been given charge of states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir while Mr Shakeel Ahmed has been given charge of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
