| JKSCEF’s plea to JU VC, MD SFC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 04 : The Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Employees Forum (JKSCEF) today held a meeting to discuss the genuine demands submitted by them to the Vice Chancellor Professor Varun Sahni on September 1, 2010.
Sat Pal chaired the meeting and was attended by SC employees working in various departments of the State Government and Autonomous bodies.
The Forum urged the Vice Chancellor to actively consider all the demands on merit so as to dispense justice to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Employees of the varsity.
Besides, the Forum also urged the Managing Director, J&K State Forest Corporation to direct the Chief General Manager (Adm) to calculate the backlog quota of posts meant for Scheduled Castes as per SRO-144 read with SRO-294 issued by the government on May 28, 2008 and fill up the same immediately failing which it shall be presumed that the corporation administration was violating the reservation norms and the law declared by the Supreme Court to this effect, deliberately and intentionally.
