| Jabar meets Prime Minister, discusses several issues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 4: Senior Congress leader and Working District President Ganderbal Shiekh Ashfaq Jabar met Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh at Raj Bhawan here today.
During his meeting with the Prime Minister Shiekh Ashfaq discussed various developmental issues related to Tourism, Power, Agriculture and Horticulture sectors. the Congress leader particularly highlighted the need for creation of employment avenues for unemployed youth of the state. He presented a memorandum to Prime Minister in which suggestions related to employment generation were highlighted.
He apprised the Prime Minister about the up coming Panchayati in the State and highlighted the need of implementation of 73rd & 74th Constitutional Amendment in the state of Jammu & Kashmir in letter and spirit so that the benefits of Panchayati institutions penetrate to the public at grass root levels.
Prime Minister Dr Man moan Singh assured him that all his demands will be taken up very soon and all possible steps will be taken to implement them.
