| Bhalla lays foundation stone of Rs.21 lakh project at Nanak Nagar | | | JAMMU, Nov 12: MLA Gandhi Nagar Raman Bhalla today conducted an extensive tour of his constituency and took stock of developmental works currently under execution. Work on Rs. 21 lakh nallah and construction of a culvert in Nanak Nagar was taken up today for which he laid the foundation stone in presence of the inhabitants of the people and the concerned Engineers. Several Corporators of Jammu Municipal Corporation were also present on the occasion. Addressing public meeting, Bhalla said that massive development works have been taken up in the constituency which include laying of new parks, beautification of existing parks and gardens, installation of electric poles and making improvement on the existing roads, lanes and by-lanes. He said that several schools and health centres have opened and upgraded in the constituency. He asked the accompanying engineers to complete the project within the stipulated period besides ensuing use of quality material. Any compromise with the quality of the work would not be tolerated and those found violating the norms and the guide lines would have to face action, he warned. Bhalla directed the accompanying corporators to coordinate their with the executing agencies for achieving better results.
