3/5/2011 12:19:22 AM

Jammu: Asserting that Centre is committed address all the issues of the West Pakistani and POK refugees in Jammu, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today acknowledged there were what he termed “some residual” problems they were facing towards which government would pay attention.
“ We have tried to give libral facilities and cover them under the economic package of Rs 50 cr sanctioned in 2008….But I do recognize there are still some residual problems on account of which they face difficulties”, Prime Minister said here today. He said during his one day visit some delegation of the refugees met him and discussed their problems. “We have given them facilities in terms of admission of the children of such families in technical institutions ………..the amount that was sanctioned enabled them ameliorate the sufferings…… but there are more families which need the benefits” PrimeMinister observed adding “ therefore the problem will have to be looked at afresh”.
