BJP intensifies their ongoing protest against CM

Jammu, March 5: As part of BJP’s ongoing protest programmes against the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement questioning the accession of Jammu and Kashmir with Union of India, the party leaders and activists staged dharnas at each constituency to register their point across the state and also create awareness about the issue among the masses.
Addressing a protest organized jointly by Gandhi Nagar and Satwari Mandals at Satwari Chowk, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had exceeded his limits by making such outrageous remarks.
The issue of accession was decided once and for all by the then Maharaja Hari Singh when he signed the Instrument of Accession on 26 October, 1947, he said and added that he is under the oath of same constitution which endorses the accession. He further stated that the BJP has been constantly striving for complete integration of the state with India and abrogation of Article-370.
Manhas also condemned to the desecration of National Flag and illegal arrest of national leaders at Jammu Airport on the eve of Republic Day. He asked the Chief Minister to seek apology for his utterances on the issue of accession and disrespect to the tri-colour by his government or quit the office of the Chief Minister.
Similarly, State Vice-president Chander Prakash Ganga addressed such programme at Bari-Brahmana.
A similar sort of demonstration was held by BJP Udhampur today where in effigy o of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was burnt.
This protest was held under the leadership of Pawan Gupta, state- Vice President who in his address said that the controversial statement given by the CM in the assembly a few months back regarding accession of J&k with India has hurt the sentiments of the nationalist forces.
