| Speaker appeals Madani to rejoin house | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 5: Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone today ‘appealed’ Deputy Speaker and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator Sartaj Madani to rejoin the proceedings of the ongoing Budget Session.
Madani submitted his resignation on March 3 to the Speaker over allegations that he did not maintained the sanctity of the Chair and joined his party in protest.
“There is no issue of resignation. I and Madani are good friends,’’ Lone told the House.
He should comeback and join the proceedings, he said, adding ‘’his resignation is not yet accepted.’’
“Doston mein choti moti nok jhonk to chalti rehti hai. It doesn’t mean that tiffs should prolong,’’ the Speaker added.
Meanwhile, CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami also appealed to the Deputy Speaker to join the House, who remained absent today after submitting his resignation.
