| Toufiq’s hat trick in Forest XI’s big win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, March 05: Jammu and Kashmir Bank shall be facing energetic side of another departmental team of Jammu and Kashmir Forest in the final of Ist Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football Tournament underway at GGM Science College here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the second semi-final, played today, J&K Forest XI registered a big 6-1 win over Churchill Brothers to make it to the final.
Star striker, Touriq struck in the 12th, 42nd and 46th minute of the match to complete his hat trick in Forest’s big win. Shahnawaz (65th), Aashu (78th) and Shahid Ahmed (86th) netted one goal each thereby helping the side to make it a big 6-1 win.
From Churchill Brothers, Roony reduced the margin striking in the 70th minute of the match.
Two yellow cards were shown to Anous of J&K Forest and Shabaz Khan of Churchill Brothers for their foul play.
Today’s match was officiated by Muzaffar Ahmed, Hilal Ahmed, Rajesh Sumbria and Gagan Kumar.
