Attack on JE: Action sought against culprits | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Mar 5 : Making a scathing attack on the indifferent attitude of the local civil administration of district Poonch in investigating the incident of attack on a Junior Engineer in Mendhar, the leaders of All J&K Diploma Engineer Association today demanded a thorough probe into the incident. All J&K Diploma Engineer Association in a meeting held here today in Nirman Bhawan under the chairmanship of Er. R. S Jasotia, president of Association strongly condemned the murderous attack on their colleague. Demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits, Jasrotia threatened to launch agitation if there is any laxity in investigation of this case. He further said that such incidents domoralise the officers in efficiently performing their official responsibilities. As per a release, the meeting criticised the role of civil administration for allegedly hushing up the matter. Pertinently, a Junior Engineer, Qadir Ahmed Choudhary, posted in R&B Sub-Division Mendhar, while on way to his home was attacked by some miscreants. He was severely beaten up along with family. Later, the injured engineer was shifted to Mendhar hospital. The association members from all wings of Engineering departments present on the occasion strongly denounced this inhuman act of some anti-social elements. The leaders of association also seek the intervention of the higher authority and appealed for passing on immediate directions for a transparent and prompt enquiry into the matter. Prominent among many others who spoke on the occasion were Er. R.S.Soodan, Er. Sudhir Singh, Er. J.S.Jaggi, Er. Khursheed UI Islam, Er. Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, Er. Vipan Sharma, Er. Ravi Kumar, Er. Abdul Hamid Bajjar, Er. Kulwant Singh and Er. Beant Singh.
