SKEWPY to facilitate employment: Rather | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 5: Sher-i-Kashmir Employment Policy provides for facilitation of job opportunities to the unemployed youth of the State, adding that for the first time the youth are being imparted necessary training to enhance their entrepreneurship skills and achieve success. This was stated by the Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather has said in reply to the supplementaries raised by Ashwani Kumar, Rafi Ahmad Mir and Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan to main question by Mohammad Irfan Shah today in the Legislative Assembly. Rather said that government has signed MOU with Jammu and Kashmir Bank under which the bank has to extend credit to prospective entrepreneurs within two months. He said that for the first time, government is now providing seed money to the entrepreneurs to facilitate setting up of enterprises by prospective entrepreneurs. Replying to the main question, the Minister for Labour & Employment, Abdul Gani Malik said under self-employment scheme as many as 38 unemployed youth of Batamaloo constituency have been advanced Rs 16.38 lakh during last financial year and upto January of current fiscal for establishment of their income generating units.
