| CAPD squad raids Ganpati Food Junction | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 5: Market checking squads of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Weight and Measures Department along with officers from Jammu Municipal Corporation, Commercial Taxes on Saturday booked Ganpati Food Junction, Gandhi Nagar for violating the Essential Commodities Act.
Squad was headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Jammu Sheetal Nanda. During the raid, the squad also imposed a fine of Rs 1000 from the Ganpati Food Junction for using domestic cylinder for commercial purpose. The 8 domestic cylinders were also seized from the Ganpati Food Junction.
It was found that the kitchen of the shop was not hygienic and the material including vegetables being used for cooking food items were not upto the mark.
