BHADERWAH | NOV 12
Block president, Bhaderwah Congress Committee, Shabir Ahmed Khan in a statement has strongly refuted the statement give in a public rally at Bhaderwah by former chief minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah that Bhaderwah-Chamba road has been sanctioned and taken up for its execution during the regime of Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah them chief minister of the J&K state not by present Congress-PDP coalition government.
According to press release Khan said that the road was initially sanctioned during the regime of congress government led by Syed Mir Qassim, then chief minister of state with the support of central programme headed by Late Indra Gandhi not by national conference government as stated by the chief patron of national conference party. He also refuted the charges leveled by a leader in the rally that the congress party has marginally won the election of Bhaderwah Municipal Committee by a way of seeking votes from the masses on the pretext that they would be accommodated in government jobs which are totally baseless and fabricated. He said in fact the public has given their mandate to the Congress party on the basis of development and performance achieved on the ground level under the dynamic leadership of former Power minister, Mohammed Sharief Niaz. In response to the statement given by the NC leader in regard to the construction of double lane Pul Doda-Bhaderwah road that no compensation will be paid to the land owner whose land has been submerged under the road alignment, Khan lauded that it is clearly evident from the record that party compensation has been paid the land owners and in respect of those who have not been paid would get soon as the compensation papers are under process with revenue department.
