| Samoohik Shivratri celebrated with fervour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Mar 6: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra celebrated “Samoohik Shivaratri” today with religious fervor and gaiety.
The function was presided over by Jyotshi Vishwa Nath, a renowned Shaiv Acharya. Dr Surinder Jain, National Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad was the chief guest .
Jyotshi Vishwa Nath highlighted the Shaiv philosophy in general and importance of Shivratri among Kashmiri Pandits in particular whereas Dr Surinder Jain spoke on Hindu Sanskrit and its relevance in the modern times.
The function was attended by large number of devout Hindus, including scholar’s intellectuals and people of all walks of life.
The highlight of the function was cultural programme presented by the students of Navin Public School, Nagrota Camp followed by Shaiv Bhajans and Wakhs by Shanti Lal Sidha, a renowned Kashmiri singer.
Welcome address was delivered by Kendra President T.N Pandita Ji and vote of thanks by H.N Pandita. Radhey Sham compered the programme.
