Bright sunshine greets Valley
3/6/2011 11:04:06 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, March 6: After a week of inclement weather, bright sunshine greeted the Kashmir Valley Sunday even as the strategic Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open only for one-way traffic.
"The highway will remain open for one-way traffic and trucks have been advised to cross the Jawahar Tunnel before 4 p.m.," said Superintendent of Police Traffic (Rural) G.M. Wadoo.
The minimum temperature in summer capital Srinagar was 0.2 degrees Celsius while it was 10.4 degrees in winter capital Jammu.
"We are expecting dry weather in the coming days as the western disturbances, which were active here for the last seven days, have withdrawn," said an official of the weather office.
