| Patwari held accepting bribe | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 06:
A patwari was today caught red handed by state vigilance organisation (SVO) while accepting bribe here.Police sources said Harminder Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Shanti
Nagar, Kunjwani, lodged a complaint with SVO, alleging therein that Deeli halqa patwari Sikandar Kumar had demanded from him a bribe of Rs 8,000 for issuing him the fard of his land at Shanti Nagar. Acting on the complaint, SVO sleuths laid a trap and apprehended the patwari red handed while accepting Rs 8,000 as bribe from Harminder.
SVO had registered a case in this connection under section 5 (2) of prevention of corruption Act read with section 161 of RPC.
