| Kidnapped girl recovered, accused held | | | JAMMU NOV-12
Police has worked out a kidnapping case of a minor girl and arrested the accused from outside the State.
Acting on a complaint lodged by the father of the girl at Police station Satwari about the kidnapping of a minor girl during the intervening night of 7-8 November, the Police immediately swung into action.
Senior Police officers assigned the job to Deepak Sharma Chowki Incharge Fallian Mandal who immediately started investigation in the case. During preliminary inquiry, Police came to know that one Romesh Lal son of Girdhari Lal of Jalandhar, who was residing with his relatives in Makwal area for the past some time, was seen near the house of the complainant on the day of kidnapping of minor girl.
On this, the relatives of the Romesh Lal were questioned who disclosed the location where the minor girl was kept after kidnapping. Upon this the Deepak Sharma, the investigating officer, left for Jallander and recovered the girl from there along with the accused kidnapper. A case in this regard has been registered and accused kidnapper put to questioning.
