IGNOU changes Term-End examination fee and format | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, March 7: In a significant move, Indira Gandhi National Open University has decentralized the process of Term-End Examinations to the Regional Centres from June 2011 Term End Examination onwards. All the students are now required to submit their Examination forms only at the Regional Centre by hand or send the same through Registered/Speed Post after retaining a photocopy of the same instead of sending the Examination forms to the New Delhi Headquarters. Examination fee has been increased from Rs. 50/ to Rs. 60/ per course which must be paid in the form of a consolidated Bank Draft in favour of IGNOU payable at Jammu. The format for Term-End Examination form has also been revised which is available at the Regional Centre and all the Study Centres and also on the IGNOU website. All the students are required to submit the Examination form with the revised fee and format only. Before submitting the Examination form, students should ensure that they have submitted all the assignments for the courses for which they are appearing in the forthcoming Examination which must be certified by the concerned Coordinator/Programme Incharge. Before sending the Term End Examination forms to the Regional Centre, the concerned Coordinators/Programme Incharges are required to see to it that the student gets an endorsement on the Examination form that he/she has submitted all the assignments for which he/she is appearing in the Term End Examination. All this has been done to strictly ensure that the complete result for the Term-End Examinations is declared within 45 days. Hall Tickets for June 2011 Term End Examination will be issued by the Regional Centre only. Students can download the Hall Tickets from IGNOU website in case the hall tickets do not reach the students in time through post.
