| Cultural Academy organises folk music programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 7: In order to promote and propagate the ageold folk traditions of Jammu, the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised a one-day folk music programme.
Famous folk singer Shiv Dass and his folk band comprising Yashpal, Joginder Pal, Babu Ram and Manu performed before a large gathering of villagers at Marh.
Commenting on the essence of the folk music programme, the official representative of Cultural Academy, Bhupinder Singh said that the Academy had decided to launch folk music series in remote villages of Jammu so as to promote the centuries old folk traditions of Dugar Desh.
The programme which was held in the premises of Government Middle School, Patnehal witnessed a huge crowd from the neighbouring villages.
