| Niaz discusses problems of Doda migrants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, MARCH 07- Keeping in view the problems of people from Doda district now settled in Kathua, MLA Bhaderwah, Mohd Sharif Niaz today convened a meeting at conference hall of DC office Kathua today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner development, Chief Planning Officer, Kathua, Executive Engineers of works departments besides other district officers and large number of migrated people were present in the meeting.
The people particularly Gujjar and Bakerwals community projected various demands and problems before the MLA which were mostly related to provision of drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, opening of veterinary centres, Health facilities, schools and repair of defunct hand pumps in their areas.
It is pertinent to mention here that large number of people from Doda district have settled in different parts of the district which included Darhalan in Nagri, Mahi Chak, Jarari, Khurd Muthi.
The people demanded inclusion of their names in BPL lists and job cards under MGNAREGA. They also demanded benefit under various schemes such as IAY.
. Niaz listened to the problems and impressed upon the officers to mitigate the sufferings of the people on priority basis.
