5,141 SR0-43 cases settled so far: Rather | | | Early Times Report Jammu , March 8 Minister for Finance, A. R. Rather today informed the Legislative Assembly that out of a total 5,532 pending SRO-43 cases, as many as 5141 have been settled leaving a balance of only 391 such cases which shall also be settled as early as possible. Replying to a question of G.M. Saroori in Legislative Assembly here today, Rather made it clear that only 80 SRO-43 cases of Doda and Kishtwar are pending settlement, adding that as many as 654 and 27 appointments have been made under SRO-43 in the twin districts respectively till date. He said 46 militancy related SRO-43 cases are pending in district Doda and 44 in district Kishtwar for want of complete documentation and release of funds for Union Ministry of Home Affairs. He said that the cases would be decided as soon as the documentation is completed and funds received from the centre. The Minister also briefed above the criteria for making appointments under SRO-43 and said any affected under age person can apply for seeking jobs under SR0 within a period of one year only. However, the Speaker, Mohammad Akbar Lone directed the government to take immediate cognizance of all such cases which are pending for long durations.
