Entrepreneurship development programme concludes | | | Early Times report Jammu March 8 A 12-day long entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) on General Trade and Tourism under Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) organised by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) concluded here today. A number of prospective entrepreneurs aspiring to start different eco-friendly ventures attended the programme. Director JKEDI, Dr. M.I. Parray in his valedictory functions distributed certificates among the participants and urged the youth to work hard and complete dedication to achieve success in their entrepreneurial ventures. Participant was also taken for an industrial visit to different industrial units across Jammu during the training programme. The Course Coordinator JKEDI, Gourav Khajuria, asked the participants to make proper use of the information provided to them during the programme. Seed Capital Fund Scheme of SKEWPY-(Sher-e-Kashmir Employment & Welfare Programme for Youth launched by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on December 5, 2009 for which the J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, JKEDI is the implementing agency. The candidates registered with the District Employment and Counselling Centres and willing to undergo training for development of entrepreneurship can avail the training facility. Later the selected candidates are imparted the necessary training in entrepreneurship and also identify the interest and potential of each candidate for various fields of activity.
