| JKPA takes out peaceful rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , March 8
To lodge their protest, female physiotherapists from JKPA took out a peaceful rally today from Mubarak Mandi via City Area on International Women Day .JKPA today entered 106th day of their agitation
Protestor on the occasion Shouted anti- Govt. slogans, demanded answers for being exploited,
Gen. Sec. NFIW Nirmal while addressing the members of JKPA & especially congratulated the female doctors for their perseverance & Tolerance.
One of the active members of JKPA Dr. Neha Bakshi Quoted that Rs. 22,60 crores have been already alloted to the state for the development & development of the women but this figure is too less compared to what is actually needed.
Dr. Preeti Gupta & Dr. Sonia Chib of JKPA admitted that there exists a big paradon regarding women empowerment in the state. On one hand the Govt. is framing policies for women limp on the other hand is turning a blind eye on the female physiotherapists on roads , being manhandled by the police.
Dr. Amira Wahid & Dr. Rahul Razdan told the media that female contribution to the field of Physiotherapy is about 80% and they appealed to the J&K Govt. to empower then in real sense and let then prove themselves as good healers.
