| Residents of Sirgwari Thakrie stage protest against PMGSY | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, March 8:- The villagers of Sirgwari Thakrie of district Kishtwar today lodged protest at Kishtwar against the PMGSY authorities and its contractor engaged for construction of Shivnagar
Srawan road , they were deanding lodging of FIR and deputation of high level team to determine the feasibility , need and correctness of proposed road . Due to execution of said road and putting the debris
in lose just upper side of village Sirgwari posing threats to people living in village Sirgwari where 4 houses stands already destroyed as a result of which one person died and another injured few days ago
. The agitators remained protesting through out the day, although the number of agitators were very low but they blocked the ever busy road infront of D.C Office Kishtwar , chanting slogans ,” we want justice “. Various political leaders rushed to cash the voters and seen
advocating the cause of these agitators.
The road which was blocked is main road remaining over crowed owing to existing of most of Govt. offices on the sides of this road like , Dc office, Court Complwx, Police Station, ITI, Hr.Sec, Schools , and
is also the lone link for Degree College Kishtwar, but the agitators without caring for the suffering of general public blocked the road , and the administration remained sleeping over the matter. The vehicles both private as well as Govt. including ambulances remained stranded
on both the ends of the road , and no one bothered to talk with the agitating people. Although heavy deployment of police was seen there but they were watching it as mute specters. The general people
suffered a lot due to illegal act of agitators and negligent attitude to administration thereof.
