Nod to two bills, creation of 103 posts of physiotherapists , 88 posts for Home guards

Jammu, March 8: Apart from major reshuffle in the administrative ranks, the cabinet also gave nod to two important bills which will be placed before the legislature during the current session. It includes Stamp duty and registration amendment bill about which the Finance Minister A R Rather made a mention in the budget speech which is primarily aimed at system of stamp duty rates for sale and purchase of the immovable properties. The need for bringing about this amendment bill has been necessitated as the government has believes 50% reduction in the rates of the stamp duty ordered by the government has not produced the desired result. Cabinet today gave nod to this bill which will facilitate setting up of exclusive organization for administration of Stamps Duties and registration on the pattern followed in other states.

Another bill- Energy conservation Bill was given nod by the cabinet which is being brought before the House by the PDD apparently with the objective of checking losses and theft of the power and save energy, vital to the interest of the state, sources said. In one more important decision cabinet gave nod to creation of 103 posts of physiotherapists in hospitals of Jammu and Srinagar which will not only facilitate availability of these specialists in the hospitals but also arrest to some extent the unrest among the pysiotherapists who have been agitating in support of demand of absorption in government jobs for a long time. Sources said Finance Ministry had already given clearance to creation of these posts about a month back and the cabinet gave its approval to the decision in today’s meeting.

The Cabinet also approved grant of RBA status in favour of eleven villages in the State which include Batwina in Ganderbal, Baripora in Budgam, Gund Tankipora in Kulgam, Laribar in Pulwama, Srail Chua in Udhampur, Dharalta in Kathua, Sangla in Poonch, Rakiban in Rajouri, Chotipora in Shopian, Panzgam in Pulwama, Kralmad including hamlets Har Kralmad and Wavothora in Anantnag.
The Cabinet also approved creation of 88 posts of different categories in Home Guards. It also approved creation of posts of Physiotherapists both in Kashmir and Jammu Health Services.
The Cabinet also approved design and construction of Auto mechanically operated Gated Barrage having approximate length of 370 meters and height 4 meters with sluice Gates across River Tawi with RCC base for creation of poundage at Belicharana, Jammu on EPC basis. The Cabinet also approved nine cases regarding use of forest land for non-forest purposes. Sources said this forest land will be used by various departments for development works in their own departments.
