| Assembly-2011 Calling Attention Notice | | Fresh enquiry of death in CHC Budhal: Sham | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 9- Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma while replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Ch. Zulfkar Ali regarding negligent death of one Shamim Akhter W/o Abdul Rashid R/o Sari Kewal in the CHC, Budhal a few days back, today informed the Legislative Assembly that the case has been got investigated by a Committee constituted by the BMO Budhal which has found that the deceased has reported in primary Health Centre, Budhal on February 2, 2011 at 10.30. a.m with history of G4P3 with Amenorrhea 8 months having one behalf of vomiting and loose motion. The patient was examined by the doctor on duty and was admitted under CR No. 573. After administering the required medication, she was discharged at 01.00 p. m on the same day with necessary treatment advice.
The said patient went home walking but was again brought to the hospital at about 10 p. m, the same day and was attended by the same doctor in presence of the Pharmacist, on night duty. On examination, the patient was found brought dead, Sham Lal said.
On the insistences of the Member, the Minister assured that a fresh enquiry would be conducted by a senior officer and findings of the enquiry will be made available to the House within 7 days.
